Hanging an extension is a way to overload an extension with info to crash it. This works by making a window, and putting in a bunch of windows in it called iframes. Then those iframes are refreshed TONS of times really quickly. These contain html for the extension. You are essentially lagging the extension.

how to tell: add Securly classroom to your home screen in extension settings. Hover your mouse over it to see what it says. There is also a notification, but it can be hard to see.

how to bypass: simply click the “x” in the corner of the screen. It will get rid of the window for a second, so you can quickly get out of any tabs you have. You can also power off the Chromebook, or press esc,reload button,power and then power it off. Be careful when doing the second one because it can cause issues if done incorrectly
